Empowering Women through Clean Energy, Entrepreneurship, and Financial Inclusion
Following the commemoration of International Women’s Day, INTERFINi joins the global community in recognizing the vital role women play in driving social and economic development. Women are central to household energy use, small businesses, and community transformation, making their empowerment essential for sustainable development.
Through initiatives such as the Mpishi Hodari Program, INTERFINi continues to support women and community groups with practical knowledge and skills that promote the adoption of clean cooking energy, while strengthening entrepreneurship and access to financial services.

Participants explore clean cooking technologies during the Mpishi Hodari exhibition in Kibaha
As part of the International Women’s Day activities, INTERFINi organized clean cooking training and demonstrations in Kibaha, Pwani, bringing together participants from different community groups including food vendors, boda boda riders, and farmers. The sessions highlighted how clean cooking solutions can improve health, protect the environment, and enhance productivity for small businesses.
A total of 95 participants attended the training, including 65 women and 30 men from various community groups. These included 37 food vendors (Mama Lishe), 19 boda boda riders, 39 small business operators, 1 participant engaged in farming.

- Clean cooking energy and its benefits for health, the environment, and small businesses
- Soko na Masoko- to strengthen business understanding and opportunities
- Becoming Bankable, helping entrepreneurs prepare their businesses to access financial services
These activities aim to empower communities with practical knowledge that connects clean energy adoption with entrepreneurship and financial inclusion.
