Rural Energy Project Monitoring & TREEP verification

Since 2008, INTERFINi has been a key player in rural energy project monitoring, serving as part of the Trust Agent for the Rural Energy Agency (REA). We have supervised over 400 projects worth TZS 2 trillion, overseeing grid and off-grid rural energy initiatives across all regions of Tanzania Mainland. Our work includes verification, inspection, and monitoring, ensuring the successful implementation of electrification projects.
As part of the CRDB-INTERFINi Consortium, we played a critical role in the Tanzania Rural Electrification Expansion Program (TREEP), acting as a third-party verification agency. Our contributions included customer connection verifications, and collaboration with TANESCO and private renewable energy developers to expand electricity access in rural Tanzania.

Mpishi Hodari: Sustainable Innovation & Clean Cooking Solutions:

Recognizing the critical role of clean cooking in reducing carbon emissions and improving livelihoods, we developed the Mpishi Hodari Program—a transformative initiative promoting sustainable cooking practices, energy conservation, and the clean energy transition.
Through this program, we aim to impact 5,000 youth, women, men, community groups, and food vendors, both directly and indirectly, across Dar es Salaam, Pwani, Dodoma, Morogoro, and Mjini Magharibi (Zanzibar). From 2023 to 2024, we have already reached over 100 food vendors in Dar es Salaam and Pwani.
