Renewable Energy Financing Trainings

We provide support to financial institutions in expanding their renewable energy financing capabilities. Through specialized training programs, we equip banking professionals with the necessary knowledge and tools to make informed investment decisions in renewable energy. Our efforts contribute to climate change mitigation while strengthening the market positioning of financial institutions in the renewable energy sector

We provided training to Equity Bank Tanzania to enable the bank to scale up its renewable energy financing, make informed decisions about renewable energy investments, and understand its significant contributions to business growth, the banking sector, and global sustainability impacts.

Consultancy Support Services

INTERFINi provided Project Management technical support to more than 25 partner organizations in Tanzania, comprising of CSOs and Faith Based Organisations who are receiving financial support from Evangelisches Werk für Diakonie und Entwicklung (Bread for the World). The capacity building support focuses on supporting partners to understand and apply outcome and impact-oriented planning, monitoring and evaluation concept as defined by BftW starting from project proposal development, implementation, reporting and evaluation

Rural Energy Project Monitoring & TREEP verification

Since 2008, INTERFINi has been a key player in rural energy project monitoring, serving as part of the Trust Agent for the Rural Energy Agency (REA). We have supervised over 400 projects worth TZS 2 trillion, overseeing grid and off-grid rural energy initiatives across all regions of Tanzania Mainland. Our work includes verification, inspection, and monitoring, ensuring the successful implementation of electrification projects.
As part of the CRDB-INTERFINi Consortium, we played a critical role in the Tanzania Rural Electrification Expansion Program (TREEP), acting as a third-party verification agency. Our contributions included customer connection verifications, and collaboration with TANESCO and private renewable energy developers to expand electricity access in rural Tanzania.
With the longest-standing experience in rural energy project supervision, monitoring, and evaluation, INTERFINi continues to drive sustainable energy solutions, strengthening partnerships with key stakeholders and enhancing energy access nationwide

Local Coordination and Technical Support Services

INTERFINi provides local coordination and technical support services to ensure the seamless execution of energy projects. In collaboration with leading organizations like ICF, NREL, and The Asia Foundation (TAF), we have supported key energy stakeholders, including the Ministry of Energy, TANESCO, ZECO, EWURA, REA, TAREA, and ZURA, by facilitating workshops, training, and advisory services on renewable energy, power sector resilience, and clean energy integration. Our services include logistical support and event management, financial disbursements, and providing qualified consultants with expertise in renewable energy. Through these efforts, INTERFINi contributes to effective project delivery and long-term sustainability in the energy sector. Key Projects:

Survey on the Applicability of Labor-Based Technology in Construction in Tanzania

JICA (Tanzania Office) in collaboration with INTERFINi to conduct a survey on the applicability of LBT (Labour-Based Technology) in construction in Tanzania.

INTERFINi Conducted the Survey on the applicability of LBT covering the whole country, collected data with regard to the utilization of Labour Based Technology in the Construction of roads in the Country.

Mpishi Hodari: Sustainable Innovation & Clean Cooking Solutions:

Recognizing the critical role of clean cooking in reducing carbon emissions and improving livelihoods, we developed the Mpishi Hodari Program—a transformative initiative promoting sustainable cooking practices, energy conservation, and the clean energy transition.
Through this program, we aim to impact 5,000 youth, women, men, community groups, and food vendors, both directly and indirectly, across Dar es Salaam, Pwani, Dodoma, Morogoro, and Mjini Magharibi (Zanzibar). From 2023 to 2024, we have already reached over 100 food vendors in Dar es Salaam and Pwani.
