INTERFINi is working as a subcontractor to National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in a USAID funded project to coordinate the Support for Tanzania Grid Integration and Resilience Project.
This project aims at providing technical support and capacity building through workshops to the Ministry of Energy, TANESCO, ZECO, EWURA, ZURA and other key Energy Stakeholders. In realizing the implementation of the project, INTERFINi organised and conducted the first activity of the training on knowledge sharing with NREL at the Kick-Off Workshop on “Greening the Grid Tanzania” at Nashera Hotel in Morogoro from 11-13th October 2021.
A total of 33 participants took part in the workshop of which 29 were Male and 4 Female from TANESCO, ZECO, EWURA, ZURA, TAREA, REA and Energy Private Sector representative.
Due to the precautions that were associated with the COVID-19 global pandemic NREL team was not physically present in Morogoro, the workshop was then conducted virtually with NREL in Colorado, USA and the participants were in Morogoro, Tanzania. INTERFINi managed to coordinate in bringing together the workgroup of energy stakeholders from Zanzibar, Dodoma and Dar es Salaam together at Nashera Hotel Morogoro. INTERFINi Consultants Ltd managed to coordinate the workshop and deliver beyond the expectations.
